Tholos tomb ΙΙ at Tragana

The second tholos tomb of Tragana was built at a short distance from the first tholos tomb and was used from the 16th century until the beginning of the 13th century BC. Inside the chamber, burial pits were found, one of which contained the cremations of two young girls aged 14-16 with special grave goods such as jewellery and seal stones. More than a thousand years later, during the Hellenistic period, it seems that the tomb was reused as a dwelling; a built hearth was found inside the chamber, along with domestic and storage pottery.
